If you’ve ever been seduced by a “miracle detox,” bought a $60 crystal-infused water bottle, or spent 20 minutes dry-brushing your soul in the name of “self-care” congratulations, you’ve survived the modern wellness circus.

The wellness industry has turned into a dazzling buffet of rituals, powders, potions, and promises. But behind the pastel packaging and influencer-approved routines, there’s one burning question:

1. Green Juices: Good for You Not Magical

The hype: “Drink one kale-celery-cucumber potion and become a glowing goddess.”
The truth: Juicing isn’t bad it’s just not the holy grail it’s made out to be.

Sure, green juices give you vitamins and hydration, but they also strip away fiber the thing that actually keeps your digestion, blood sugar, and metabolism in check.
So, while your skin might glow, your gut may not be thrilled.

What to do instead: Blend, don’t juice. Smoothies retain the fiber and keep you fuller longer. Or, better yet, just eat your greens like a normal human.

2. Detox Teas: Mostly Expensive Laxatives

The truth: Your liver and kidneys already do that for free.

Most detox teas are just cleverly marketed laxatives that make you lose water weight (and your dignity, after that fourth trip to the bathroom).

What actually works: Drink plain water, eat real food, and let your body’s natural detox system your liver, kidneys, and sweat glands do their job.

3. Collagen Supplements: Worth It (With a Catch)

The hype: “Drink your collagen, and you’ll age backward.”
The truth: Collagen supplements can improve skin elasticity and joint health — but only if you take them consistently and alongside a good diet.

The catch? Your body breaks down collagen into amino acids before rebuilding it — so results vary by individual.
